Alison Krauss has been a country music star for more than 30 years. Her birthplace was in Decatur IL on the 23rd day of July in 1971. LeAnn Kymes and Alison Kruss were the two newest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss was born in the month of July 1971. Alison is a country and bluegrass artist. She started in the industry at the age of a young child, and when she was just 10 years young. The year 1987 was when she dropped her first solo album, after being signed to Rounder Records. Then, she was invited to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, the band she currently performs with. The first album she released as a collective with this band was released in 1989.
