Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born March 14, 1997 in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. At the 2016 Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals at a single Games and she was the first gymnast in history to win three consecutive World All-around championships (2013-15). Biles is a native of Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) adopted them. They were raised in Houston's metropolitan area. Simone started to develop the sport of gymnastics seriously as when she was six years old during a school field trip to Bannon Gymnastix. Aimee Borman was her coach throughout the following eleven years. Biles won a gold medal for vault and also a medal in floor at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. She began participating in the elite level of gymnastics competition. Within two years she had won the sport. Biles made headlines by her consistent performance, her enthusiasm and level of challenge she made throughout each competition--vault bars that were uneven the balance beam, and the ground exercise.
