Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah works as an Indian performer, actress and musician. The majority of her work comes in Tamil or Malayalam films. Her debut as an actress was the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam, and her Malayalam d but with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah is from an Anglo-Indian origin. Her parents were an attorney from the Madras High Court attorney. There is a younger sister who is a resident of Leuven Belgium as a research assistant. Jeremiah hails originally from Chennai. She went to National Public School, and later graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea was an eight year old classical pianist who was also extremely geeky. Young Stars, a Jackson Five group that she joined at age 10, was her foundation for singing and composing music. Additionally, she worked as a theatre performer in college. Andrea was the president of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea started her career in theatre with Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. Andrea was in a new Leo coffee commercial alongside actor Shiva in the year 2006. The actress also appeared in a TV show which airs on Podhigai. She has performed roles in India. She played a minor role in the Kanda Mudhal final (2005). She sang for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. He asked her to play one of his female leads on Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea performed the role of Kalyani who is a homewife with a husband who has an affair. Andrea was allegedly blackmailed. Andrea won the role of Kalyani following Simran Shobana Tabu and other actresses were approached. The film came out in the beginning of 2010. The film was released in August 2011. Venkat Prabhu launched his multi-starrer Mankatha. The film was commissioned to play a minor support role. In 2013 she was the first to debut in Malayalam cinema by playing Rajeeev Ravi's love movie Annayum Rasoolum.
