Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan model and actor who is active primarily in Indian films. She was also the runner-up of the 2005 Miss Sri Lanka Universe pageant. Fernandez, who is of Canadian, Sri Lankan, Malaysian and multiracial origin she spent her entire growing up in Bahrain. She graduated with a degree in mass communications from the University of Sydney and worked as a reporter for a television station for Sri Lanka for a considerable time prior to stepping into the modeling industry. In 2006, she was crowned as Miss Universe and became one of the models with the highest popularity in Sri Lanka. While on a professional tour of India in 2009, Jasmine was cast as Aladin in the film by Sujoy Ghosh. The film was her first big break during 2011, when she played the lead female in Murder 2. Fernandez has had a stellar career post-film, that was a huge success both at the box-office and in the eyes of reviews. Since then, she's appeared in films like Housefull 2 or 3, Race 2, Definition of Fear and Judwaa 2 She's an ambassador for numerous companies and has been awarded many awards. An active part of the local community, she supports several charities and is a champion for a variety of causes.
